Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I access my Documents folder in StashSpot?
StashSpot follows macOS App Sandbox security guidelines, which restrict direct access to certain folders like Documents, Desktop, and other protected locations. To work around this, StashSpot provides a Customizable User-Granted Folder that allows you to choose a specific folder for unrestricted access.

To set this up, simply click the 👤 icon in the StashSpot interface and select your preferred folder. If you ever want to change the location, just double-click the 👤 icon and choose a new folder. This gives you full control over which files StashSpot can access while keeping your system secure.
Live edge triggers you say?

StashSpot lets you customize how stash spots open to match your workflow. You can choose between three activation modes:

Instant – The stash spot appears as soon as your cursor reaches the edge.

Brief Delay – A short delay before opening, with an adjustable timing setting.

Double Click – The stash spot only opens when you double-click the edge.
To adjust these settings, open StashSpot’s preferences and select your preferred trigger method for each stash spot.
